Single Minds urgently NEEDS female backing vocals. If you know the Simple Minds repertoire and you want to bring the songs as authentically as possible – as we want to do as Tribute Band - then female backing vocals are an essential instrument !
The Lady we are looking for can be of any nationality or age. The main thing is that your voice and sense for rhythm are a MUST. A female backing vocal singer would be a real added value for the sound and credibility of our band.
If you are really interested and you think you have the required singing skills, then please do not hesitate a second to contact us ! You have only a lot to gain and we are sure you will enjoy the band’s atmosphere and professional attitude.
Rehearsals take place each Friday between 19h and 23.00h in Ruisbroek, near Puurs (Antwerp). It is not required to be present at each rehearsal, but of course you are always more than welcome !

At the bottom of the page you can see some sample videos of what we are actually looking for (unfortunately sound and video quality are not always optimal). One more thing: sound and voice are unique and difficult to imitate. As mentioned before, the main thing is a good sense of rhythm and a rock solid tone. Of course, the video sample are only a few examples of the repertoire. Our set will consist of loads of more songs.
As you may have noticed, a backing vocal singer is very important to make our band complete. The power of the songs also lies in the power of the vocals. Rehearsals are meant to practice this. We take our time to obtain the correct result, since these songs are not to be taken for granted. We try to prepare the songs at home and the finishing touch is done during our rehearsal sessions. That is the way we want to work.
